The Master Plan for the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel
School of Marine & Atmospheric Sciences consolidates
disparate existing departments and creates a centralized campus identity,
focused around a main quad, which provides indigenous landscaping, views of
Biscayne Bay, and captures ocean breezes, while respecting the boundaries of
adjacent wetlands and historic properties.
We have also recently completed programming and conceptual design for
the new Saltwater Laboratory Building, a 40,000 sf state-of-the-art research
facility that will combine all saltwater research components of numerous
University Departments. The building
will house laboratories, support spaces and offices as well as the
world-famous Aplysia Hatchery and FLUME.
CSP utilized a team/ charette approach to successfully fast-track this
effort and integrate the needs of the Faculty, Administration and Facilities
